8 MILES HIGH
Type: sativa-indica
Contains land race genetics from: Africa; North India
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 60-65 days/1st week Oct. (south), mid October (north)
Yield: 400-450 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: a sativa-dominant high; uplifting; alert & fiery-energetic;
thought provoking; trippy visuals; creative.
Aroma: a sweet-fruity melange of strawberry and melon; hash-candy;
piney; minty.
Medical use: good potential against lethargy & depression;
stimulates appetite.
This is a fragrant, uplifting sativa that delivers quality harvests
indoor & outdoor. Special attention was devoted to making this
variety a low-maintenance plant that finishes by mid-October in
northern climates. Flowering sets in quickly with most plants sexing
within one week of switching to 12/12. Another positive feature
is the fast and profuse resin production during early flowering
that rewards your efforts right from the start. 8 Miles High has
proven to be very reliable under various environmental stress factors
such as abrupt changes in light and temperature. Plants can therefore
be moved from indoor and planted out with no adverse effects. This
strain is easy to grow and has no special requirements. It has
shown good mold resistance and grows well in soil with no extra
feeding*, making it a good choice for growers with little experience
or not much time on their hands.
The indica-type females have minimum branching, medium tall growth,
and are excellent for small spaces or cultivation in close rows.
The sativa-leaning pheno can be grown as a multi-stem plant or
trained if this is your preferred method of cultivation. It has
longer branching due to the extended internodes and exhibits great
potential as a big producer outdoor. For a sea of green set-up
in hydro both phenos can be used. In hydro we recommend pruning
the bottom branches on the sativa-leaning females so that all energy
is focused on the long central cola.
8 Miles High has a great calyx-to-leaf ratio and slim leaves that
make trimming the buds a quick job. Resiny bud production throughout
the plant from top to bottom guarantees a quality harvest. The
aromatic properties of this strain are delightfully diverse and
feature the rare trait of strawberry fragrance. During flowering
a slight brush against the plants releases a wonderful sweetness
with an earthy undertone. This delicate aroma is followed by the
more dominant piney freshness. As the plants mature you can also
detect whiffs of a sweet lemonade scent. Cured buds retain the
piney-minty smell but, in addition, there is a variety of delicious
aromas ranging from strawberry, melon, to hash-candy.**
The smoke has a fresh minty taste and lingering sweetness to it.
8 Miles High lifts off straight to the head and triggers a lot
of cerebral activity with flashes of insights and long episodes
of trippy visuals when you close your eyes and switch to auto pilot.
This is a functional daytime smoke, or a wake-up call to keep you
on your feet partying at night. The uplifting, almost euphoric,
effect sets in once you reach maximum altitude. This energetic
sativa glides back down smoothly and leaves an expansive feeling
behind.

Sadhu
Type: indica-sativa
Contains land race genetics from: North India (Kashmir)
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 60-65 days/September (south); mid-October (north)
Yield: 400-450 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: you can relax and unwind with this strong psychoactive high
that makes your mind fly while your body stays in a state of relaxation.
This indica is seldom narcotic if harvested timely and is perfect
for those after work hours or lazy afternoons. Very satisfying and
enjoyable ganja.
Potency: 8/10; long-lasting; no nervous side-effects (racy heart,
etc.), medical effects are immediate also with long-term use; suitable
for regular med users.
Aroma: fruity melon; sweet or candy-like; earthy; some spice
Medical Use: Sadhu assists against stress; nervousness; sleep disorders;
it has shown anti-depressive properties.
Sadhu is a combination of a specially adapted landrace male from
the Himalayan heights and one of our short flowering indica-sativa
hybrids. This variety is a hommage to the legendary ganja from the
Indian high altitude valleys, and to the wandering ascetics or sadhus,
who keep the tradition of cannabis cultivation, it’s ritual
and recreational use, alive. In 2006 the uniformity of the flowering
time and height among individual plants was improved through enhanced
breeding, without losing any of the hybrid vigor. Sadhu is now our
shortest indica with a very robust and compact stature ideal for
small/low grow spaces, or incognito balcony grows. This strain is
best choice for a high yielding and potent indica grow with a minimum
of effort.
Outdoor cultivation is possible up to the 45° latitude, and
in all climates with a dry autumn. Excellent results can be achieved
in the greenhouse as with all other Mandala strains. Although special
care is always taken to increase mold resistance in our breeding
lines, this does remain an indica with a tight bud structure, therefore
some plants may react sensitive to high humidity. For optimal results
keep humidity and watering low in the last 2 weeks of flowering and
check the headbuds at least once before harvest. Her resiny leaves
can produce wonderfully fragrant hash of finest quality. The mild,
earthy, sweet-spicy bouquet of the dried flowers reminds one of oriental
bazaars and hand-rolled charas.

Ganesh
Type: indica-sativa
Genetics: Yamuna x Afghan
Contains land race genetics from: Uttarkhand, N. India; Afghanistan
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 60 days/September (south), early-mid October (north)
Yield: 400-450 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: a potent, laid back, sativa-dominant high; sensual; body
relaxation.
Potency: 8/10; no nervous side-effects (racy heart,etc.).
Aroma: skunky-pungent
Medical use: this strain shows potential against depression & anxiety.
For our 5th anniversary we recreated our exotic, high-class indica-sativa
hybrid “Yamuna” from the “Limited Collector’s
Edition”, which was issued in our first year, and crossed it
with our best Afghan parent from seed stock collected in the 1980’s.
The result is an impressive stout plant oozing with resin that grows
like an indica and feels like a sativa. Ganesh is an excellent choice
for closet cultivation or a homebox due to it’s short stature
and the even growth pattern. Plants vegged for 3 weeks in soil reach
a height of approx. 60cm when mature. To harvest a field of “baseball
bat” type colas in regular sized grow spaces we suggest vegging
4-5 weeks for organic (soil) cultivation. Ganesh grows perfectly
with little or no feeding in quality soil. *
Our unique combination of land race genetics injects a lot of vigour
into this strain and the thick shoots from mother plants provide
quality cuttings over an extended period. Due to the extreme density
of the buds approx. 20-25% of the plants show some mold susceptibility
in the top third portion of the head bud in the last week of flowering.
Therefore, this strain is best grown in spaces with humidity control.
You should also water sparsely in the last week of flowering. Wait
until the plants have slightly droopy leaves and give them just enough
for their daily requirement. A daily check of the head buds during
this period lets you detect mold early before it can cause any damage.
The dense and crystalline buds have a rich, skunky smell that underlines
the top quality of the smoke.** A heavy-duty grinder is recommended
for these chunky buds! The taste evokes the times of the finest Himalayan
hash in the 1970’s - sweet and earthy with a chocolatey finish.
Ganesh combines the best of both worlds: it’s dense, glittery
indica nuggets have great ‘bag appeal’ and the sativa-dominant
high leaves you functional, social, yet relaxed. It’s a great
smoke for fun activities like a beach party; lying in your hammock
and watching the sunlight flash through the trees; sensual leisure
or bodywork such as massage, yoga, tai-chi; and all kinds of creativity.

Mandala # 1
Type: sativa-indica
Genetics: S. African highland Sativa x NZ Purple Indica & N.Indian
Sativa
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 55-60 days/mid Sept. (south) end of September (north)
Yield: 450 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: an up-high that spreads in waves; euphoric; creative; can also
be spacey and dreamy at the start.
Potency: 8/10; no side-effects (racy heart, etc.); suitable for regular
med users.
Aroma: properly cured buds have a natural sweet fragrance like dried
apples. The purple plants spread a delicious raspberry fragrance,
with a touch of minty freshness.*
Medical use: Mandala #1 shows potential in it’s anti-anxiety
and anti-depressive effects. As this is a new strain we will be updating
further benefits once feedback comes in from med users.
Mandala #1 is a good choice if you are aiming for a quick crop with
a Sativa effect. We recommend this strain especially for northern
climates where harvesting by the end of September is a priority.
This strain has two basic phenotypes (characteristic plant types).
Approximately 30% of the plants belong to the Sativa dominant phenotype
and grow in a christmas tree shape. The leaf structure is similar
to the Indica dominant pheno. Purplish leaf stems and light red stripes
along shoots are not uncommon and should not be mistaken for a nutrient
deficiency. The young flowering plants have a perfumed woody-herbal
fragrance when you rub the stems.* Despite the Sativa dominance the
buds are chunky and the plants are easy to grow. The Indica type
pheno is apparent through it's squater growth, thick main stem, and
larger leaves. Branches are shorter, growing upwards close to the
plant (perfect for SOG). The side shoots towards the top are also
short and give the head buds a more compact structure. This pheno
tends to develop a sweet-spicy smell during early flowering. Mandala
#1 flowers with a spear-shaped head bud of considerable length that
makes this a high yielder. Resin output is impressive - also in outdoor
grows. The prime head buds are coated with a thick layer of trichomes
and glisten brightly in the sun. Some plants develop beautiful dark
purple calyxes during mid-flowering: a trait which they inherited
from the New Zealand Purple Indica in the paternal line. Harvesting
is very simple since the calyx-to-leaf ratio is predominantly high.
Indoor
One of our breeding goals is to ensure that our strains are flexible
and stable so that plants can be raised indoor and undergo the light
stress of switching between artificial lighting and sunlight. It
is therefore possible to start your garden indoor and shift the plants
outdoor for flowering. Cloning and regenerating Mandala #1 is easy.
Since this strain has a high percentage of landrace genetics that
were adapted to growing on nutrient poor soil, the plants subsist
easily in good horticultural grade potting soil and require little
feeding if any. We recommend to provide an adequate pot size for
healthy growth (see our FAQ). Height is average and even the sativa
pheno can be accomodated in small indoor spaces if a 12/12 light
period is started early. A Sea of Green style cultivation is best
with the Indica phenotype, or with clones (rather than from seed)
of both phenos. All plants are suitable for SCROG and other forms
of training.
Outdoor
This early flowering strain shares the benefits of hardy landrace
genetics and a very resinous hybrid to produce robust plants with
high bud quality. The early flowering traits in this cross initiate
bud development quickly enough for an abundant yield in September.
Even if harsh weather circumstances require harvesting before all
plants reach full maturity, they will still deliver a satisfying
amount of resin-coated buds.

HASHBERRY
Type: mostly indica
Contains land race genetics from: North India (Kashmir)
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor (up to 46° latitude, balcony, greenhouse)
Flowering time: 60-65 days/September (south); 1-2nd week October
(north)
Yield: 450-500 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: the classic chill-out weed; an expansive indica stone with
a powerful high that sets in with the first lungfull of smoke;
the buzz is first light headed and very balanced before switching
to a stronger narcotic phase towards the end of your flight.
Potency: 7/10; hash: 9/10; medical effects are immediate also with
long-term use; suitable for regular med users.
Aroma: fruity-berry; blackcurrant jam; hashy
Medical use: Hashberry shows medical potential against anxiety
and sleep disorders; it can provide calming effects for moderate
pain relief (this is not a narcotic strain to aid against severe
pain).
With this exceptional new strain we are building upon our successful
breeding lines to offer growers an Indica that combines the best
of many traits. Hashberry is the unique result from a rigorous
selection of desirable parents, with special attention paid to
preserve the hybrid vigor our strains are so valued for. This Indica
will grow to a medium height and is a good choice where space matters
and excellent for SOG. Hashberry develops a tight and heavy head
bud with dense buds located on her firm side shoots. You will notice
that many plants cover the bud leaves with a coat of THC glands
and these will fill your pollinator/bubble bags generously.
This strain still remains easy to manicure, and the dried buds
have great “bag appeal”. The buds reveal a refreshing
fruity-floral scent during the flowering period. After proper drying
and maturation their fragrance transforms into a delicious hashy-berry
like aroma. Hashberry not only has hybrid vigor, but is also very
heat resistant and easy to grow. We recommend keeping humidity
levels and watering low during the last 2 weeks of flowering to
prevent any mold in the compact top buds.

SPEED QUEEN
Type: mostly indica
Contains land race genetics from: Himachal Pradesh, North India
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor (up to 48° latitude, balcony, greenhouse)
Flowering time: 55 days/September (south); mid October (north)
Yield: 400-450 gr/m2 (dry weight)
THC: 15-18%
High: the “surfers” choice - a stimulating, and balanced
indica buzz that does not put you to sleep. Pleasantly relaxing yet
leaves plenty of energy for social activities and is a great daytime
grass. No nervous side-effects (racy heart, etc.); suitable for regular
med users.
Medical potential: this strain shows potential against anxiety
and depression.
Speed Queen is a stocky and tough indica with a thick main stem
(green or with distinct scarlet coloring) and fleshy leaves. She
carries compact and resiny buds that have great “bag appeal” after
drying. One pheno has the delicious aroma of orange and citrus.
The other mixes this freshness with a more pungent/skunky note.
This indica will fit well into grow spaces where shorter plants
are required. To a large extent the bud leaves are covered in THC
glands, but harvesting is a quick operation since all buds remain
nice and chunky.
Speed Queen is not finicky or difficult to grow. For optimal growth
(for all our strains) we recommend that you read our online article
on how best to fertilize. The article link is in the FAQ. Mandala
strains utilize nutrients very efficiently and grow well with low
levels of feeding on quality soil. Due to her vigor and quick flowering
time this strain is perfect for novice gardeners and SOG cultivation
that aims for max. number of crops per year.

KALICHAKRA
Type: sativa-indica
Contains land race genetics from: South India / S.E.Asia
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 63-68 days/October
Yield: 500-550 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: a potent sativa high with an energizing body effect; sensual
and stimulating. Good for active recreation, but heavy indulgance
can lead to a temporary state of being blissed-out.
Potency: 8-9/10; long-lasting; suitable for regular med users.
Aroma (dry): fruity-floral; earthy; incense
Medical Use: Kalichakra shows her therapeutic potential in helping
against depression and may assist with alleviating some types of
moderate pain.
Kalichakra is named after the Indian goddess Kali (a consort of
the ganja smoking Lord Shiva) to symbolize the power of this hardy,
potent, high-yielding sativa. Unlike typical sativas she develops
extremely well indoor with vigorous growth and sturdy stems. This
hybrid vigor, and the unique land race traits, make her surprisingly
adaptable and easy to grow, and a good choice for novice gardeners.
mother plants provide clones easily and quickly. The cuttings can
be placed into flowering early for cultivating shorter plants in
trays, grow boxes, etc., or to shorten flowering time. We recommend
this strain for SOG as well. In hydroponics rapid growth can be
expected. She responds well to being tied down and grows an impressively
large main cola from the even light distribution.
The high calyx-to-leaf ratio and frosty coating of trichomes contribute
to the exceptional quality of the ripe flowers. The plants possess
on average a good mold and pest resistance thanks to our dedicated
breeding goals in minimizing undesirable genetic traits. Up to
the 45° latitude Kalichakra delivers bumper yields outdoor
and is one of the best strains available for hot and temperate
climates. In far northern climates she has also performed well
but results depend on plant care, local weather, and phenotype.

SATORI
Type: sativa-indica
Contains land race genetics from: Nepal
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 65-70 days/October
Yield: 550-600 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: a clear, cerebral high and strong potency sets in quickly;
it supports concentration & creativity; very inspiring and stimulating.
Ideal for writers, artists, musicians, or other creative people.
THC: 23-28%
Potency: 9-10/10; long-lasting; no nervous side-effects (racy heart,etc.);
suitable for regular med users, or persons with high THC-tolerance.
Aroma: fruity-citrus, pungent.
Medical Use: Satori shows her therapeutic potential in relieving
depression and anxiety; this strain can ease sleep disorders from
auto-immune diseases and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS).
We refined this strain genetically in 2006 to produce an even
more reliable and powerful cross that will delight your connoisseur
heart. Satori is an exceptionally easy to grow sativa. She has
shown impressive hardiness against spider mites and other pests,
and she possesses a good measure of mold resistance. Her slim appearance
makes it possible to plant in narrow rows, or in SOG, to maximize
her typical record yields even more. The firm side shoots provide
highest quality cuttings. As with all our sativas she is heat resistant
- an added bonus for small indoor environments and hot summer grows.
The mainly sweet & fruity-spicy aroma is a real treat for the
senses.
Satori grows a long head bud with chunky flowers and does not
require much feeding on soil; you can almost do without feeding
provided you use quality soil and sufficient pot size (approx.
2 gallon pots for adult plants under 250-600W lamps). Keep EC levels
low in hydroponics for best results. All Mandala strains are extremely
efficient in nutrient uptake due to their hybrid vigor and require
only low EC levels/feeding to develop huge leaf, stem and bud structure.
Satori is a high yielding, powerful plant with an exceptional sativa
high. The heavy buds are easy to manicure, and from the resinous
bud leaves you can produce finest grade hash, comparable in quality
to the famous Nepalese “temple balls”.

WHITE SATIN
Type: indica-sativa
Contains land race genetics from: North India (Punjab)
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 65 days/September-October
Yield: 400-500 gr/m2 (dry weight)
Aroma: sweet-fruity bouquet with a touch of apricot
High: a potent, up-high that leaves you clear-headed yet wonderfully
stoned; recommended as “leasure and pleasure” cannabis;
physically stimulating.
Potency: 7/10; no nervous side-effects (racy heart, etc.); suitable
for regular med users.
Medical potential: this strain shows potential against anxiety
and depression.
This robust variety is a good choice for the novice gardener and
experienced grower alike. She combines power, quality, and flexibility
with a relatively short flowering time. White Satin is made for
easy growing... you can plant and harvest with a minimum of effort.
The main flowering power is located on the central stem, but also
the side shoots deliver quality “nuggets”. White Satin
has proven to be very versatile for Sea of Green or SCROG (Screen
of Green) methods and performs well under low light conditions
( fluorescent, CFL, 250W NDL). Her medium height, good yield, and
well-balanced intensive high have made her a popular variety for
indoor.
The aroma of the flowering plants is unobtrusive and low which
makes this strain an interesting choice for stealth grows. Outdoor
most plants will finish end of September in southern latitudes.
In extreme northern climates expect to harvest mid October or later.
White Satin can develop an extremely large and dense main cola,
so it’s a good idea to keep humidity between 35-50%, and
night time temperature not below 20°C, as a prevention to mold.
Check the head buds at least once before harvest if they are very
fat, or if you have constant high humidity in your grow space.
The plants with the highest resin output will cover many leaves
with trichomes and provide an extra treat for hash enthusiasts.

KRYSTALICA
Limited Outdoor Edition 2005
SOLD OUT!
Type: mostly sativa
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Height (outdoor): 1,5 to 3 meters (depending on planting time)
Flowering time: 70 days/October
Yield (outdoor): 400-800 gr. dry weight per plant (depending on
plant size)
High: long lasting sativa high, euphoric, creative, energetic.
This limited edition of Krystalica is an easy to grow, robust plant
especially for outdoor cultivation. She will produce high yielding,
resinous buds with an exceptional calyx-to-leaf ratio. The plants
have a good resistance against pests and mold, and they can withstand
high summer temperatures and ocassional spells of wet or cold weather
during flowering. These features make her the ideal choice for
an outdoor sativa. Outdoor cultivation is recommended in regions
with warm summers or up to the 45° latitude. In more northern
climates the performance and harvest date will depend on local
weather and length of daylight. Under good climatic conditions
she can be easily grown up to the 55° latitude.
We recommend planting the seeds May-June if you wish to grow shorter
plants. The average height of potted plants will be about 1 meter
and in soil 1,5 meters. For maximum yields plant the seeds beginning
of March to April. The mature females can then reach a height of
approx. 3 meters and will develop impressive yields of quality
buds. Check the buds for mold if very cold and wet weather persists
in autumn. Remove any suspicous looking or infected buds. Krystalica
has good mold resistance but should be harvested if it rains almost
daily in the last 2 weeks of flowering.
Indoor: Krystalica can also be grown indoor from seeds and in
soil under 400W/m2 or more. In hydroponics we recommend only the
use of clones due to the vegetative power of this strain. She will
make a very vigorous mother plant that is best grown in soil (for
easy management). The mother plants produce many high quality,
strong cuttings that can be put into flowering early. This sativa
is perfect for SOG (Sea of Green) cultivation. Plants from seeds
can be pruned or tied down to control height if necessary. This
strain is a real treat for any indoor garden managed by friends
of sativa!
